New Beginnings Church (NBC) is an established congregation in Bartow, Florida that is going through an exciting season of revitalization and the launch of a new strategic ministry plan.
The Lead Musician will function as one of the key leaders of the NBC Worship ministry by 1) leading music during Sunday Service from an instrument (keys or guitar would be ideal), 2) organizing/leading a small worship band (keys, drums, bass, guitar), 3) leading the NBC Worship vocalists, 4) create a worship model that connects with multiple generations, and 4) disciple worship ministry members. In terms of musical flavor, the ideal lead musician would be able to perform a variety of genres of music, including: Black Gospel (e.g. Andre Crouch), Contemporary Gospel (e.g., JJ Hairston, Todd Dulaney), and Contemporary Christian Worship (e.g, Maverick City, Elevation Worship, Hillsong).
The lead musician will serve as a volunteer staff member until the congregation is able to pay them as a part-time staff member. However, a small stipend can be considered during the initial tenure of the lead musician’s ministry at NBC.
