Aug 30, 2022 | Media/Communications, Ministry Opportunities, Other

The City Sanctuary, DeLand Church of God, is looking for a Media/Tech Director with broadcast sound and video experience. This position will work under the leadership of the lead pastor, in conjunction with the worship and arts pastor, to oversee and implement sound and video capture and broadcast of the weekend experience, classes, and events on our campus. This position will assist in the development of distributing video/tech content to our various platforms in order to creatively communicate the gospel outside the walls of the church. This includes leading, managing & developing volunteer staff and structure.

Outreach & Community Focused – We are not looking for an aquarium keeper. We are looking for someone with an outreach mindset. Someone who has a vision to reach the unchurched and de-churched.
Passionate – Someone who is Christ-motivated & self-motivated as well. We don’t want to have to light a fire to get them to do something; we want them to have their own internal fire to reach others through their position.
Spiritual Character – Someone who demonstrates a love for God, and a maturing walk with Christ. We don’t want a spiritual baby. We want a disciple.
Relational – We want someone who loves and cares about people. Someone who works well with others.
Organized – Someone who is disciplined to do advanced detailed planning, and follow-up until the job is done.
Creative – Someone who understands the big picture of what’s desired, and can find creative ways to convey and communicate that on a regular basis.

Spiritual Media – Because our “Wins” are “Changed Lives”, we want you to capture life-changing testimonies as they occur and consequently market them to our target audience, as well as archive them on a Real Life Video Testimony Page.
Sunday Media – You will collaborate with the Lead Pastor to provide one of your video testimonies for a Sunday service. You will also be responsible to edit appropriate portions of the message each Sunday for the best video portions to post on social media that week. This would also apply to “Big Event” recap videos.
