The City Sanctuary, DeLand Church of God, is looking for a Media/Tech Director with broadcast sound and video experience. This position will work under the leadership of the lead pastor, in conjunction with the worship and arts pastor, to oversee and implement sound and video capture and broadcast of the weekend experience, classes, and events on our campus. This position will assist in the development of distributing video/tech content to our various platforms in order to creatively communicate the gospel outside the walls of the church. This includes leading, managing & developing volunteer staff and structure.


o Outreach & Community Focused – We are not looking for an aquarium keeper.  We are looking for someone with an outreach mindset.  Someone who has a vision to reach the unchurched and de-churched.
o Passionate – Someone who is Christ-motivated & self-motivated as well.  We don’t want to have to light a fire to get them to do something; we want them to have their own internal fire to reach others through their position.
o Spiritual Character – Someone who demonstrates a love for God, and a maturing walk with Christ.  We don’t want a spiritual baby.  We want a disciple.
o Relational – We want someone who loves and cares about people.  Someone who works well with others.
o Organized – Someone who is disciplined to do advanced detailed planning, and follow-up until the job is done.
o Creative – Someone who understands the big picture of what’s desired, and can find creative ways to convey and communicate that on a regular basis.


o Spiritual Media – Because our “Wins” are “Changed Lives”, we want you to capture life-changing testimonies as they occur and consequently market them to our target audience, as well as archive them on a Real Life Video Testimony Page.
o Sunday Media – You will coordinate with The Sanctuary Media Pastor, to when asked, provide one of your video testimonies for a Sunday worship gathering.  You will also be responsible to edit appropriate portions of the message each Sunday for the best video portions to post on social media that week.  This would also apply to “Big Event” recap videos.

o Social Media
o Manage our website, Facebook, and any other church social media content each week
o Monitor, interact & interpret site engagement & social media analytics as it relates to your job description
o Contribute to the team by implementing and shaping measurable strategies to meet our digital presence objectives
o Drive marketing of our spiritual media, including developing campaigns to reach our target audience
o Study and follow Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter trends to stay current and to inform us of the best ways to utilize these platforms
o Set up a new City Sanctuary YouTube page with a new structure and substance

-Re-post City Sanctuary small groups and discipleship recap videos on the Real Love tab
-Repost City Sanctuary outreach ministries and big events, as well as our video testimonies on the Real Difference tab
-Work on supplemental material as directed (all of our other ministries, groups, outreaches, teams, and video testimonies).

o Function as a producer of weekend services and special events
o Oversee the sound and video weekend mix
o Responsible for building and managing the media production team
o Responsible for the technical components for all weekend services in special events, which includes sound, video, and lights (IMAG if needed)
o Coordinates network-based technologies such as online streaming, etc.
o Edit services and special events for uploading to our website, Facebook, and YouTube pages, as well as future television broadcasts or commercials.
o Responsible for the maintenance of all technical equipment on campus.
o Responsible to keep our church website and app “Watch” tab up to date with current media.
o Responsible to Responsible for planning, designing, and install equipment upgrades and new equipment.
o Coordinate the recording and, or, the broadcast of worship services, classes, blogs, webinars or events, as directed by the lead pastor or staff.
o Ensure Services or Special Events are staffed by production volunteers.
o Oversee big picture planning for the media ministries.
o Convert slides and song layout to the size of the LED screens.
o Develop training for all volunteer staff.
o Attend all staff meetings and meet regularly with the lead pastor and worship and arts pastor for coordination.
o Responsible for the maintenance of all technical equipment on campus.
• This includes ensuring adequate internet access to each room via wifi or network
• Maintaining Unifi Wifi Network (or secure help to do so)
• Aid in ordering computers for ministries/staff members.  This will require understanding the use case for the computers and what types of devices will be required.
• Overflow setup and testing in different areas of the campus
• Ensuring Pastor’s iPad works and is ready for Sunday Services (or secure help to do so)
• General troubleshooting for computer/device issues of staff and/or ministries as necessary
• Manage joint software upgrades (i.e. ProPresenter)


o A minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant video editing and marketing experience managing social media platforms
o A bachelor’s degree education level or higher, preferred, but not required
o Experience in writing and overseeing content creation
o Experience with content strategies and messaging
o High attention to detail
o High level of time management and the ability to work under pressure
o Excellent communicational skills
o A team player who is committed to working on a team as much as working online
o Ability to fully embrace the vision, values, and statement of faith of City Sanctuary
