Freedom Church’s mission is to teach and live Biblical truth and be a place of unwavering commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ from a Pentecostal perspective.

Freedom Church seeks a full-time Youth Pastor to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to lead and disciple students in 6th – 12th grade through an effective Youth ministry. The ministry will include discipleship, prayer, fellowship, outreach, and missions while serving as a spiritual leader and role model.

Student Youth Pastor Principle Ministry
Provide oversight of the planning, implementation, promotion, and coordination of all ministries and activities for Students ages 0 to 12. Our children’s ministry serves 15-20 kids per Sunday and 10-15 mid-week.

Appointed by the Lead Pastor.

Relationships
1. Responsible to the Lead Pastor.
2. Work cooperatively with all other church staff, particularly the other age-level ministry staff.
3. Work with the volunteer staff in coordinating the Children’s Ministry.
4. Communicate with parents concerning the activities and programs of the ministry.

Responsibilities:
– Attend and participate in staff meetings.
– Oversee, grow, and coordinate the church’s Youth Ministry.
– Lead, disciple, and interact with students to encourage spiritual growth.
– Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and their parents.
– Develop and maintain student leaders who will serve the Youth ministry, church, and community.
– Develop and maintain an outreach plan for the local community to establish positive relationships with local students, schools, and organizations and increase youth ministry and church growth. (Ex: CRU, FCA, Chapel, Sporting Events)
– Attend District functions, meetings, camps, and conferences.

Qualifications
Filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Evident relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
Previous Youth Ministry experience is preferred but not required.
Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of students and young people.
Organizational skills, computer skills, and proficiency with social media.
Ability to lead by example in dress, attitude, finances, and becoming a Christian.
The Biblical growth, education, and edification of Students ages 13-18.
Provide pastoral care to teen students and their families.
Provide the necessary training for students to succeed after high school to further their Christian discipleship.
Provide an opportunity for all students to meet the following criteria upon completion of the Student Ministry:
Have an established relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Demonstrate their commitment to Jesus Christ through the act of water baptism.
Have a solid understanding of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of ministry He offers, and know and/or experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Know and comprehend the mission and purpose of the church and actively participate in the church’s ministries according to their gifts, desires, and abilities.
Anything else that the Senior Pastor deems necessary to assist in accomplishing the goals and mission of the church.

Compensation
The Financial Package starts as part-time, requiring the right team to be bi-vocational, as determined by the Senior Pastor and Pastor’s Council. Housing included.
