The Sanctuary in Douglas, GA, seeks a full-time Youth Pastor to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to lead and disciple students in 9th – 12th grade through an effective Youth ministry. The ministry will include discipleship, prayer, fellowship, outreach and missions while serving as a spiritual leader and role model.
Responsibilities:
-Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings.
-Oversee, grow, and coordinate the church’s Youth Ministry.
-Lead, disciple, and interact with students to encourage their spiritual growth.
-Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and their parents.
-Develop and maintain student leaders who will serve the Youth ministry, church and community.
-Develop and maintain an outreach plan into the local community to establish positive relationships with the local students, schools, and organizations and increase growth in the Youth ministry and in the church. (Ex: FCA, Chapel, Sporting Events)
Requirements:
-Evident relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
-Previous Youth Ministry experience preferred, but not required.
-Proficient understanding of challenges and needs of students and young people.
-Organizational skills, computer skills, and proficiency with social media.
-Ability to lead by example in dress, attitude, finances, and all things becoming of a Christian.
