Ridgecrest Church, a Church of God in Rocky Mount, NC, is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Worship Pastor to lead our contemporary worship services. This individual will play a vital role in shaping the worship experience, fostering a spirit of praise, and engaging the congregation in heartfelt worship. The ideal candidate will be a skilled musician, an effective team leader, and a committed follower of Christ.
Responsibilities:
• Lead worship services, including song selection and musical arrangements.
• Select and lead songs that are God-centered, not man-centered
• Avoiding songs by Bethel Music and Hillsong Worship
• Recruit, train, and oversee the praise team, band, and tech team (all volunteer-based)
• Organize and lead weekly worship practices.
• Design and coordinate the order of worship for services.
• Assist with bulletin design and creation.
• Plan and execute special services for Easter, Christmas, and other church events.
• Potentially coordinate special event choirs.
• Oversee ProPresenter software for worship lyrics and media presentations.
• Manage and create social media content for church communication.
• Assist with general church events and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• A strong personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ.
• Vocal talent and ability to lead worship effectively.
• Proficiency in keyboard and/or guitar is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with contemporary Christian music and familiarity with traditional hymns.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with and encourage a volunteer-based worship and tech team.
• Strong proficiency in ProPresenter software.
• Working knowledge of social media content creation and management.
• A heart for ministry and a willingness to assist in other church responsibilities as needed.
