The Sanctuary Church in Douglas, GA, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Pastor to join our ministry team. The ideal candidate will be responsible to lead and disciple children in 1st-6th grade as well as oversee other areas of Children’s Ministry. Candidate must be able to work well and in harmony with the lead pastor, church staff, and the TSC team. Our church has a heart for reaching the next generation for Christ, so the candidate must be someone who loves Jesus, loves kids, and has the creativity and leadership skills to continue building a dynamic children’s ministry here at TSC.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee all aspects of children’s ministry on Sunday’s including check-in, volunteers, communications, curriculum, media, supplies, snacks, etc.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and their parents
• Partner with parents to support the spiritual development of their children
• Plan and coordinate special events (Christmas program, Kidfest, etc.)
• Assist with church-wide tasks and special events as needed
Requirements:
• An evident relationship with Jesus Christ
• Experience in Children’s Ministry leadership preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work well with a team and under pastoral leadership
• Ability to lead by example in dress, attitude, finances, and all things becoming of a Christian
This is a part-time (possibly full-time) position.
