The Church of God Home for Children of North Carolina is seeking a Direct Care/House Parent. Duties include:
* physical, emotional, and spiritual support to children and adolescent youth
* Model and encourage positive attitudes and behaviors
* Help teach social and independent living life skills, including coping mechanisms
* Ensure the safety of every child and youth
* Prepare healthy meals daily
* Provide daily routines and structure in a home environment
* Help children and youth develop healthy relationships with family and friends
* Perform and supervise household chores
* Supervise and assist with homework and school activities
* Attend and supervise the children and youth in your cottage during the planned social events and activities provided by the Activities Coordinator(s)
* Select, organize, and manage the supplies provided for the household of your assigned children, youth, and caregivers.
* Encourage the spiritual growth of each resident through weekly church attendance, devotions, and example
* Provide oversight of the cottage, grounds, and equipment
* Provide transportation for children and youth when needed (via company vehicles)
* Oversee and manage the overall operations of your assigned cottage
