Job Title: Part-Time Family Ministries Coordinator
Location: Living Word Church, Chadbourn, NC
Position Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)
Salary: 30,000

Overview: Living Word Church is seeking a passionate and organized individual to serve as our Family Ministries Coordinator. This role will focus on fostering the spiritual growth of families, youth, and children, providing leadership to family ministry programs, and encouraging participation in the life of the church. The ideal candidate will have a heart for ministry, excellent leadership skills, and experience working with children, youth, and families.

Responsibilities:
• Get to know our church family. Ministry is about people.
• Oversee, and coordinate family, youth, and children’s ministry events and programs.
• Recruit, equip, and support volunteers and leaders to serve within family ministries.
• Collaborate with church leadership to create and implement a vision for family ministries.
• Provide resources and support to parents for faith formation at home.
• Plan and promote regular family-centered events and outreach opportunities.
• Oversee and coordinate current curriculum for children’s ministry programs.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all children and families.
• Communicate regularly with families, volunteers, and church leadership.
• Manage the family ministries budget in collaboration with church administration.
• Attend church staff meetings and participate in church-wide events.
• Side note: We already have teams of teachers in place for our kid’s ministry and youth so part of the candidate’s job would basically be overseeing our teams.

Qualifications:
• A committed Christian with a passion for family, youth and children’s ministry.
• Someone who has been baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues preferred but not required.
• Some practical experience in children’s or family ministry, education, or a related field.
• Must become a member of Living Word Church and attend Sunday morning and Wednesday night services.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with child safety policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks and basic technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
• A degree or extended training in ministry, education, or a related field.
• Experience in event planning and volunteer management.
• Familiarity with family ministry curricula and resources.
