Meadow Park Church is seeking a Kids Ministry Director.

Status: Part-Time Salaried Position
Compensation: $32,000-$36,000 (25-30 hours per week)

We’re not only investing in this new position, we’re also creating a brand new centralized kids’ ministry space to be completed by early fall.
Position Summary:
The MPC Kids Ministry Director creates an exciting, Christ-centered environment led by fun, caring adults who invest in each kid’s faith journey. It should be a place where kids feel known, loved, and can’t wait to come back. This position is designed for a team builder who brings energy, humility, and a learner’s posture while driving the ministry forward.
The Director is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and execution of ministry for children from birth through 5th grade, known as MPC Kids. This role includes leading Sunday morning programming, developing and equipping leaders, organizing ministry events and outreach, and building meaningful connections with kids, parents, and the broader church.
Key Responsibilities:
Sunday Programming
● Oversee all Sunday morning environments for birth through 5th grade (MPC Kids)
● Prepare and implement GO! Curriculum (infants–kindergarten) and Grow Curriculum (1st–5th grade) in a way that aligns with Meadow Park’s vision and values
● Ensure classrooms are safe, engaging, and staffed with trained leaders
● Equip and empower leaders to serve effectively and relationally
● Manage weekly preparation, including lesson plans, slides, playlists, and supplies
Leader Development
● Recruit, screen, onboard, and train leaders for various MPC Kids roles
● Build and maintain a strong, relational leader culture
● Create systems of encouragement, celebration, and spiritual support for the team
● Identify and develop leaders for preschool, elementary, and preteen areas
● Provide consistent communication, care, and leadership development
Parent Engagement
● Partner with parents through communication, encouragement, and discipleship support
● Provide tools and encouragement to help families disciple their children at home
● Welcome and follow up with new families
Administrative & Strategic Support
● Manage logistics and systems using Planning Center and other communication tools
● Participate in regular check-ins with the NextGen Pastor for support, planning, and personal growth
● Maintain ministry systems, including rosters, schedules, safety policies, and budget tracking
● Communicate with teams and parents through consistent weekly, monthly, and quarterly rhythms using email and other platforms
Events & Outreach
● Lead the planning and execution of major MPC Kids events such as Easter, VBS, Christmas, and other family experiences
Children’s Center Ministry
● Lead a weekly gathering for preschool and school-age children at Meadow Park Children’s Center, a weekday daycare and early childhood program located within the church
● Build relational trust with Children’s Center teachers and staff
● Serve as a spiritual support and representative of the church within the Children’s Center

Qualifications:
● Demonstrated ability to build and lead healthy teams, especially with volunteers
● Strong interpersonal skills with children, parents, and adult leaders
● An understanding of children’s spiritual formation and church-based discipleship
● 2+ years of experience serving or leading in a children’s or family ministry setting
● Clear and effective communicator—both in person and in writing
● Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and grow in leadership and spiritual maturity
● Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities
● Comfortable with ministry tools such as Planning Center, Canva, and digital communication platforms
