River of Life is a growing church in the midst of renewal. We are looking for a worship director to grow with us. River of Life is anticipating continued growth and needs a leader to help take some of the burden the Lead Pastor currently carries as the primary worship leader and keyboard player. The position will begin as part time, requiring the candidate to be local to Southeastern Ohio.
Responsibilities:
The worship director will be responsible for helping River of Life continue in it’s modernization of the worship department. This includes overseeing the worship team, training new team members, weekly service planning including the use of Planning Center and EasyWorship. The worship director needs to be a musician who is able to provide chord charts and train the musicians in the team to work together. It is helpful for the candidate to be well versed in live stage technology such as sound, video, and streaming.
The worship director will work with the senior pastor to develop every aspect of the weekly worship experience and help develop an authentic and dynamic worship atmosphere.
Spiritual:
The worship director must model a life of integrity and spiritual maturity. The candidate will function in the role of associate pastor and responsible for ministry to the team he/she leads.
Credentials:
While COG credentials are not a must to begin, we prefer a candidate who is interested in attaining credentials and who is a COG team player.

Our goal is to move this position to full time as the demands of ministry and growth of the church make possible.
