The Forest Hill Church of God in Mobile, AL is seeking a full-time worship pastor. We are a growing, multi-generational church with a blended worship style that embraces the best of contemporary praise and worship, gospel, and classic choir anthems.
This is a full-time position. Compensation includes a weekly salary (commensurate with experience), a monthly housing and cell-phone allowance, BCBS health and dental insurance, and retirement (for those holding ministry credentials with the Church of God).
Our team includes our front-line vocals, choir, and band. We are in the process of rebuilding our orchestra (horns and auxiliary percussion). Our live musicians are supplemented with STEMS technology using Loop Community and Ableton software. The worship team is supported by our church’s sound and media department.
Responsibilities include:
-Planning and leading the weekly music set for Sunday morning services.
-Facilitating practices with the front-line vocals, choir, band, and orchestra.
-Leading special worship nights and several joint-services with our Hispanic daughter church, Puerta del Cielo.
-Planning creative ways to include our children and youth worship team musically.
-Various weekly pastoral care and administrative responsibilities related to role as member of pastoral staff.
