Legacy Church is a growing, multicultural and multigenerational church in Pensacola, Florida. We are seeking a passionate, Spirit-filled Worship Pastor who desires to help lead our church into authentic encounters with Jesus and build a strong, healthy worship ministry.
This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Worship Pastor is responsible for leading and cultivating a dynamic, Spirit-filled worship culture at Legacy Church. This individual will lead worship during services, develop and disciple teams, and help create an atmosphere where people can encounter Jesus, engage in authentic worship, and grow spiritually.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Worship Leadership
* Lead worship during Sunday services and special gatherings.
* Create engaging, Christ-centered worship sets aligned with sermon themes and the vision of Legacy Church.
* Cultivate an atmosphere of passionate, authentic, and Spirit-led worship.
* Remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and the flow of each service.
2. Team Development
* Recruit, train, equip, and disciple worship team members, including vocalists and musicians.
* Build a healthy, unified, and spiritually strong worship culture.
* Develop existing team members while identifying and raising up new leaders.
* Schedule and communicate effectively with worship team members.
3. Service Planning
* Collaborate weekly with the Lead Pastor regarding service flow, worship direction, and special moments.
* Plan worship sets, transitions, and worship moments that complement the message and overall direction of the service.
* Participate in creative planning for special services and events, including Easter, Christmas, conferences, and other church gatherings.
4. Rehearsals & Preparation
* Lead weekly rehearsals that are efficient, encouraging, organized, and spiritually focused.
* Ensure musicians and vocalists are prepared both musically and spiritually.
* Provide songs, charts, recordings, and other necessary resources to the team in advance.
* Pursue musical excellence while maintaining a heart of worship.
5. Spiritual Leadership
* Model a growing relationship with Jesus and a life of integrity, humility, worship, and devotion to Christ.
* Pastor, encourage, and care for worship team members.
* Support the vision, values, and spiritual direction of Legacy Church.
* Help cultivate an environment where people can encounter the presence of God and respond to Him.

The ideal candidate will be a team builder who can lead with confidence while remaining flexible and sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
