Family Church (FC) is a thriving church of 600 with a middle and high school youth ministry of 85 students and 16 volunteer leaders. Our campus includes a preschool, and elementary through high school with over 500 students on campus each day. They are seeking a Youth Minister/Director of Youth Ministry.

Students are growing in a real relationship with Jesus, understanding God’s Word, discovering their gifts, serving others, and learning to make disciples.
Parents feel informed, supported, and equipped to lead spiritually at home.
FC Youth is a fun, safe, welcoming place where students can belong, build healthy relationships, ask honest questions, and grow together.
A healthy, trained, and spiritually growing volunteer team is actively discipling students – not simply helping run programs.
Students are connected to the larger life of Family Church and see themselves as an important part of the church now, not just someday.
Key Responsibilities
Lead FC Youth: Develop and lead weekly youth services, small groups, events, retreats, camps, and discipleship opportunities that are engaging, relational, biblically grounded, and aligned with the vision of Family Church.
Teach and disciple students: Communicate God’s Word in a clear, relevant, age-appropriate way and create pathways for students to pursue God, grow in spiritual disciplines, use their gifts, serve, share their faith, and make disciples.
Build leaders: Recruit, train, shepherd, empower, and retain a strong team of adult volunteers who model a growing relationship with Jesus and intentionally build discipling relationships with students.
Partner with parents: Communicate consistently with parents, help them understand what students are learning, and provide practical tools that strengthen family discipleship at home.
Create a safe, healthy culture: Maintain and enforce Family Church safety, screening, child-protection, and ministry policies. Build a culture where students are cared for, included, and protected.
Stay connected to students: Be present in students’ lives beyond Wednesday night through appropriate school, community, church, and relational touchpoints.
Strengthen the whole church: Help students participate in Sunday worship, serving, outreach, groups, and intergenerational relationships across Family Church.
Collaborate: Work closely with the Family Ministry team, church staff, Claiborne Christian School, and Claiborne Christian Preschool where appropriate to create a connected discipleship pathway from childhood through graduation.
Lead with excellence: Plan ahead, communicate clearly, manage the youth ministry budget responsibly, evaluate ministry effectiveness, develop volunteers, and continually improve ministry systems and experiences.

A committed follower of Jesus with a growing personal relationship with Him and rhythms of Scripture, prayer, worship, Sabbath, Christian community, tithing, and fasting.
A disciple-maker who is more interested in developing people than simply producing programs.
A leader who believes parents are the primary spiritual influence in a student’s life and wants to equip and encourage them.
A strong communicator who can teach Scripture to students with clarity, authenticity, and practical application.
A relational leader who can shepherd volunteers, build trust with parents, and work well as part of a staff team.
A creative, organized, dependable self-starter who can turn vision into an executable ministry plan.
A humble and teachable leader who receives feedback, communicates honestly, handles conflict in a healthy way, and protects unity.
Someone who fully embraces Family Church’s vision, values, Statement of Faith, and staff culture.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, education, or a related field preferred.
Three or more years of relevant youth ministry, church ministry, or comparable leadership experience preferred.
Equivalent ministry training and demonstrated experience may be considered in place of formal education requirements.
Demonstrated ability to teach, lead teams, organize ministry, communicate with parents, and build meaningful relationships with students.
Rhythm & Expectations
This is a full-time ministry role. The normal rhythm includes weekday office hours, Wednesday FC Youth services, Sunday morning worship, student and family connection, team development, and periodic evenings/weekends for camps, retreats, school activities, outreach, and special events. Ministry schedules flex with the season, so healthy planning, communication, and personal rhythms are essential.
