The Carthage Family Worship Center Church of God is seeking a youth pastor.
We were hoping for an individual or married couple that may be interested in getting started in a small, but growing church, in the position of Youth Pastor. My wife and I started in this church December 2022. The church had approximately four people in it and has grown into the twenties and several times in the thirties. God has been moving in tremendous ways and we are looking to expand the ministry options. When we arrived there was only Sunday morning service and a Wednesday night service that was for youth, and no one attended.
Currently, we have a Sunday morning Worship and Sunday School, a Sunday evening worship, and a Wednesday night food and Bible study. We would like to expand.
If some one would be interested, we could provide them with a two-bedroom parsonage for free. (At this point the utilities and mowing would be on them.) It is an older home next to the church, but has new siding and brand-new windows that were just installed. We could possibly come up with a hundred dollars a week in salary.
The expectations would be that they maintain the home and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion (i.e. yard kept mowed and maintained without a bunch of clutter, and the home in a clean fashion to entertain guests and shine a positive light on the church. (Hospitable)
The responsibilities of the job would be to work hand-in-hand with the pastor to win new souls and encourage people. They would be expected to attend the services of the church. They would conduct Sunday morning Sunday School, Wednesday night Youth Group and other tasks as needed.
